The Markha Valley trek is arguably the most popular trek in Ladakh, offering a perfect blend of dramatic landscapes and cultural immersion. Often compared to the "Tea House Treks" of Nepal due to its homestay accommodations, this trail takes you through the heart of Hemis National Park. You'll traverse barren Zanskar mountains, green barley fields, and unique rock formations, all while spotting wildlife like the Blue Sheep. The trek culminates with the crossing of Kongmaru La pass (5,260m), rewarding you with panoramic views of the Karakoram range and Kang Yatse peaks.
